Urban developer Sudberry Properties has started renting apartments at The Hub at Scripps Ranch, a mixed-use redevelopment project comprising 260 modern units with retail and restaurant facilities.

The 9.5-acre property is located at the entrance to Scripps Ranch at 9840 Carroll Canyon Road, just east of Interstate 15.

“The Hub at Scripps Ranch offers modern resort living with urban-style architecture unique to Scripps Ranch,” said Colton Sudberry, president of the company that also develops Civita in Mission Valley.

The Hub offers one- to three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 614 to 1,391 square feet, with private patios or balconies, fully equipped kitchens, and full-size washers and dryers. Rents start at $2,600 per month.

Community facilities include a swimming pool and outdoor lounge area with a hot tub, barbecue grills and fire pit; a 2,053-square-foot fitness center; a club lounge with demonstration kitchen; a game room; and a media screening room.

The site was previously the location of Pacific Southwest Airlines’ reservation center and flight training center prior to its acquisition by USAir in 1988.

Construction is nearing completion and residents of apartments in the initial stages have begun moving in.

The rental center is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
