An article published by the National Institutes of Health, however, shows that the benefits of exercise go far beyond the scale. The study authors explored the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on physical activities, based on information published between 2019 and 2021. First, exercise during COVID-19, especially supervised exercise, is conducive to happiness and improved mental health.

Second, physical exercise reduces people’s anxiety, sadness, and depression during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Third, maintaining and improving mental health is related to the intensity and frequency of physical exercise.
