In a return to a pre-pandemic tradition, fifth-grade students from Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn hit the road Oct. 25 at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish for “Are You Fitter Than a Fifth Grader?” , A day of obstacle courses, fitness games, nutrition facts, and more.

Bethany Fox is a St. Dom’s physical education teacher and proud St. Joe’s alumna who worked with the college’s Department of Exercise Science and Health and Wellness to organize the day, which promotes the importance of fitness and nutrition, according to a press release from Dave Guthro, director of communications, Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.

“It was such a fun day and the kids were amazing,” Fox said.
