With over 530 clubs nationwide, Anytime Fitness is a giant in the fitness industry.

According to an American magazine and website, Entrepreneurits more than 4,000 clubs rank it ninth in the world, mixing it with franchise heavyweights like KFC, 7-Eleven and McDonald’s.

With such a monumental presence across the globe, it would be easy to assume that its two and a half million members worldwide would become just that, a number.

But as co-owner of Anytime Fitness Docklands, Phil Edwards has seen firsthand, it’s his team’s personal approach that anchors its roots in the local community.

“The response since opening in 2016 has been phenomenal, which is to be seen,” Mr Edwards said. “Since then we have become an integral part of the thriving Docklands community.”

“Anytime Fitness Docklands caters to both a residential and working population by providing a convenient space where people can work out during lunchtime or after hours, shower and head back to the office. .”

“With workers slowly returning to the city, we have noticed a growing number of local residents in Docklands and surrounding areas who are looking for high-end fitness offerings.”

Anytime Fitness Docklands is located within the Collins Square compound at 747 Collins St and is one of four clubs owned by Mr. Edwards and his business partner, Julie Mazzarella, who have over four decades of combined experience in the industry of health and fitness.

Since opening Anytime Fitness Docklands, Mr. Edwards has formed partnerships with local businesses and community groups to solidify his team’s commitment to the area and grow the brand.

Now, with nearly six years of community service under their belt, Mr Edwards told Docklands News the convenience of 24/7 access, state-of-the-art equipment and inclusiveness for all members, “regardless of your body type, fitness level, ability, gender or background” is what draws people to our club.

“There can be a fear of the unknown for beginners joining the fitness community, and with so many options available, it’s all about choosing the right fit,” Edwards said.

“So having a personal touch, where our members are treated like a person not a number and are greeted when they come in and when they leave is extremely important to us.”

“Our members mean the world to us, their health and safety matter to us, we are here to hold their hand every step of the way, whatever that journey may be.”

“We want our members to feel like they belong. Belonging to a community that is focused on achieving its goals.

Anytime Fitness Docklands offers an extensive range of state-of-the-art equipment, multiple training areas, functional training areas, individual showers, separate toilets, a beauty bar – where you can use hair dryers and hair straighteners – individual showers and bathrooms and gives members the ability to use their membership at any of over 4,000 locations worldwide.

“For our members, convenience is paramount. We appreciate the fact that we can remove any barriers they may encounter in wanting to exercise, while still having access not only to their home club, but also to any Anytime Fitness club in Australia or overseas,” Mr. Edwards said.

“Each membership also includes access to the Anytime Fitness app where we further support our members with workout and nutrition education. Also included is a rewards program where you are rewarded the more you train.
